WIll i get enough protein?

It is so weird to me that we have the importance of protein hammered into us from birth as if it’s easy to become deficient. Especially when 97% of Americans don’t get the minimum required intake of fibre, and 98% don’t get enough potassium. Both of which are found in high quantities in the plant world. It isn’t protein we need to be worried about! But, just to assuage any fears, it would be basically impossible to become protein deficient if you’re eating enough calories, as even the most low-protein plant foods have an adequate protein level as a percentage of total calories. And if you throw in a stash protein each day you’ll be getting a great cross-section of amino acids from the legumes within them. It’s even a negative for your kidneys and general longevity to eat too much protein (and most people currently do). Listen to this audio to learn more.

DO YOU LOSE NUTRIENTS IN THE FREEZER?

In short… no. Some nutrients are lost in the cooking process, while others (such as lycopene in tomatoes) are made more accessible. The freezing itself isn’t responsible for any nutrient loss - it actually preserves what is there by preventing the food from denaturing as it would in the fridge. I also make sure that we include a large variety of fresh ingredients so that you get the best of both the cooked and fresh world.

HOW LONG WILL THINGS LAST IN THE FREEZER?

I have good news for you here! I regularly leave stash elements in the freezer for 3-6 months as I make HUGE batches, and they taste exactly the same as the day I made them. The freezer is a wonderful thing.
 

CAN I BUY THE STASH ELEMENTS READY-MADE?

I’m currently working on this! A lot of people struggle to find the time to prepare their stash, but really like having it around. I live in the UK so I am looking at production there first, with the potential for expansion to other countries later. Watch this space!
